Floe Elite Ice Bath
What Is a Cold Water Plunge?
A cold water plunge, often referred to as cold water immersion or ice bathing, involves submerging the body in cold water for a short duration. This popular practice has grown momentum due to its potential health benefits.
Enthusiasts typically engage in cold water plunges either in natural bodies of water or by incorporating ice into their baths at home.
The benefits of cold water immersion are believed to include improved circulation, reduced muscle soreness, and enhanced recovery after physical activity.
How Does Ice Bathing Affect My Wellness?
The cold water prompts vasoconstriction, causing blood vessels to constrict and dilate upon rewarming, which can contribute to better circulation and reduced inflammation. Additionally, exposure to cold water is thought to stimulate the release of your happy hormone, endorphins, leading to an increased sense of alertness and well-being.
Home ice bathing allows individuals to conveniently incorporate cold water immersion into their routine, promoting the potential benefits without the need for specialised facilities.

Achieving the maximum benefits from this invigorating therapy requires the perfect balance of time and temperature. For instance, when submerged in 10°C water, we recommend a session lasting no more than 10 minutes.
Our temperature-to-time examples serve as a helpful guideline: for every 1°C of coldness, allocate 1 minute for your submersion. Whether it's 1°C for 1 minute, 3°C for 3 minutes, 5°C for 5 minutes, or 10°C for 10 minutes, you can tailor your cold water therapy accordingly.
Rest assured, our baths are ingeniously designed to accommodate individuals up to 2.1 meters tall (6' 7"). Experience the ultimate cold water therapy experience with FLOE Fitness.
Yes! Secure Thermal Lid for Optimal Conditions.
Super easy! Simply use a garden hose-pipe, a bucket or container, and your desired temperature water. Once filled to approximately 70% full, you'll be ready for your first dip!
Later, we recommend adding ice or ice packs to reduce the temperature further. Our Ice Baths are insulated top, bottom and sides, so will maintain the water temperature for longer than you'd expect!
Note: Always consult your doctor before using an ice bath if you have any health issues.
Do not use if you are under 18, pregnant, have a history of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, wear a pacemaker, experienced frostbite, have an open wound, recently had surgery, or have epilepsy or other health concerns. Immersion in cold water constricts blood vessels and can raise blood pressure, potentially leading to cardiac arrest or stroke. Side effects may include intense cold sensation, hypothermia, frostbite, rapid heartbeat, irregular heartbeat, and allergic reactions. Start with short sessions and gradually increase the duration, respecting your body's limits. Prioritise your well-being during the ice bath.
